What Does TOLT PTSA Do?

PTSA STUDENT STORE: The Student Store is a fundraiser for PTSA, but also provides an opportunity for parent volunteers to connect with students.

REFLECTIONS ART CONTEST: We participate in the National PTA Reflections Program, offering students a chance to showcase their artistic talents.

8th GRADE DANCE: The dance is entirely planned, paid for by, and executed by PTSA and its volunteers.

ARTS EDUCATION: We donate $500 to the art department for supplies all teachers can use. We also coordinate art docent volunteers, when needed for special projects.

TEACHER GRANTS: We donate $100 to each Tolt teacher to help get classrooms ready for the new school year, as well as offer grants for special projects and equipment as needed.

SCHOOL EVENT VOLUNTEERS: PTSA volunteers help with Picture Day, Vision/Hearing Checks, School Socials, Student Store, Concession Stand, and more!

STAFF APPRECIATION: Through various events and meals throughout the year, we show the Tolt teachers and staff how much we value the work they do with our students, plus we participate in National PTA's Staff Appreciation Week (SAW) in May.

ADVOCACY: PTA advocates for education in the legislature. Your membership helps us offer a voice and vote for every child. Look at the State and National websites for more information on the issues that PTA is working on.

AS NEEDED GRANTS: In recent years, PTSA has granted funds for the Social Studies Language Arts Departments, and the Band Department.

SUPPORTING OUR STUDENTS: Tolt PTSA provides sports scholarships, for each sport and grade. We grant money to the WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) program along with the Tolt Ticket reward program.
